Chrome Metal Trim

Chrome was mighty popular back in the day, and is still a common trim found on vehicles today. Although quite durable, this classic metal requires regular and specific care to maintain its polished finish. Thanks to Mothers® dedicated Chrome range, this maintenance is really simple.

Cleaning & Polishing

Chrome is a hardy metal, and as such, many Chrome cleaners and polishes, like Mothers® Chrome Polish, will be too robust for other metals. That’s why it’s important that you know which kind of trim you’re dealing with. Applying a chrome polish to a metal that isn’t chrome could cause a lot of damage.

Using a clean applicator pad will help get into hard-to-reach areas on grills, and by applying your product directly to the applicator, you will avoid using too much.
Set aside enough time when tackling this project, because a good finish isn’t achieved quickly. You will have to work in sections to avoid hazy residue and getting the product on other parts of trim – like rubber and plastic, so patience and a bit of elbow grease will go a long way.

Detail Tip:

Mothers® All-Chrome® Quick Polish and Chrome Polish are specially formulated to protect your chrome with unique polymers that serve as a repellent to fingerprints and other smudges.
